Leah Grant lends her expertise to the Mural @ The Sheds art competition
Updated: Jun 29
Leah Grant, an Adelaide street artist, designer, illustrator and educator, joined the Wattle Run team recently to help judge the entries of the Mural @ The Sheds art competition.

With over 20 murals painted from Stobie Poles to 10m high warehouses under her belt, Leah was the perfect person to provide both industry and technical input during the judging process.
Leah’s style is bright, colourful and uplifting exploring textures and colours of various mediums, but more importantly for the competition, was her experience and knowledge of painting on corrugated iron and her passion for education, having completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts and later a Diploma of Education.
This wealth of experience and passion for education has enabled Leah to combine her superpowers to inspire and encourage young minds looking to venture into the art industry.
In the past three years, she has undertaken more than 12 artist in residence programs at schools across South Australia.
All of this while fostering a very successful street art career and reputation in the arts industry with some notable achievements along the way such as her 'Happiness Is' mural being featured in the Street Art book Urban Scrawl.
With an array of murals, exhibitions, artist workshops, collaborations and educational residencies among Leah’s list of credentials, it’s no wonder her advice on the judging panel was so informative.
Leah was part of the Mural @ The Sheds judging panel with Councillor Cath Tonks, Dylan Turner from Wattyl and the Wattle Run team who picked the four shortlisted mural pieces that are currently out for public vote until 5pm Sunday 30 October.
